Field

The field is a large grassy area in the middle of our campus.  It is bounded on all sides by walkways and buildings.  The field is used for P.E., for recess time, for special events such as May Day and graduation, and as gathering place in emergencies such as fire escapes.

The grass in the field grows fairly quickly, and gardeners come in every two weeks on a Tuesday to mow the lawns.

In 2004, a new playground was built in the area of the field closest to the cafeteria and D-building.  A wonderful cermemony, with blessings from both a kahu and the pastor of the local Deaf church, opened the new playground, and it has been a great resource to our students ever since.
