I
provide individual and group counseling services for
students. I
work with all ages but mainly focus on elementary and dorm
students. I provide consultation services for school staff
and
anyone working with our students. I make home visits to check
on
absent students, teach parenting and communication skills, and provice
ongoing support to families. I also do some testing and
evaluations of students as needed. My job is to help deaf and
hard of hearing students succeed.
I started as an intern in 2000-2001 and became a member of the staff is
2001.
I have been a nationally certified interpreter since 1980.
I like reading to learn new skills, especially anything to do with
helping children and families. I also enjoy reading science
fiction and fantasy novels. I love animals and have lots of pets,
including a couple of chickens, 3 dogs, 3 cats, a
parrot.... I grew up learning Korean
Dancing because
I am 100% Korean but I don't speak Korean.
