I
am a Speech/Langauge Pathologist at the Hawaii Center for Deaf and
Blind. I teach our students how to communicate by using ASL,
gestures, written English, and speech production (as
appropriate). Primarily, I work with the preschool and
elementary students, but I serve the middle school and some high school
students as well.
My job is not only as a Speech/Language Pathologist at the
school, I also work as a coach for Special
Olympics. Additionally, I drive the school bus, when needed.
I have been at HCDB for five years.
I have been working in deaf services since I moved here five years ago.

I am originally from
Oregon (Go Beavs!). I have a lot of family here in the
islands as my dad was born and raised in Hilo on the Big Island which,
incidently, is my favorite place to be. I got my cooking
talents from my dad and baking talents from my mom so during my free
time I love to cook! I also make pop-up greeting
cards. I am also involved with the Junior Chamber of
Commerce. This year I am President of the Community
Organization of Leaders (C.O.O.L.) Jaycees. I really enjoy
the aspects of helping out the community and building upon my
leadership skills.
